Hospitality brand Mandarin Oriental is turning artistic rituals into bookable experiences.
Chinese-American pianist Yuja Wang and Belgian DJ and producer Charlotte de Witte appear in the latest chapter of the group’s long-running Fan Campaign, filmed at the luxury leader’s Hyde Park, London and Bodrum properties. Trading stage footage for the routines that happen behind the scenes, the project slots in under a celebrity portrait series Mandarin Oriental has presented for more than 25 years.
“For more than 25 years, our Fan Campaign has celebrated individuals who represent the very highest standards in their profession,” said Laurent Kleitman, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental, in a statement.
“Yuja Wang and Charlotte de Witte have each shaped their respective fields through extraordinary talent, relentless dedication and an uncompromising commitment to mastering their craft,” Mr. Kleitman said. “While every journey is unique, what unites exceptional people is the importance of personalized care behind every great performance.
“Understanding those individual needs and creating experiences around them has always been central to Mandarin Oriental.”
Off the clock
Mandarin Oriental’s latest release focuses on the routines each artist follows before and after performing, following the artists during the less visible moments surrounding their work.
For Ms. Wang, a Grammy Award winner, this means the physical preparation and recovery required to sustain an international concert schedule. The pianist is known for performances that demand speed, control and endurance, giving way for Mandarin Oriental to explore how she engages in self-care between appearances.

Ms. de Witte’s routine comes at the opposite end of the performance cycle. After playing marathon electronic music sets that can run for six hours, the DJ relies on food and downtime to recover after leaving the booth.
The campaign takes this post-performance habit and places it within the hotel environment, showing how individualized service can accommodate a schedule that continues well beyond conventional dining hours.

Despite operating in separate musical worlds, the two artists share an emphasis on repetition, precision and preparation. Mandarin Oriental uses those similarities to connect performance with its own approach to hospitality, where service is shaped around individual schedules and preferences.
The films also allow the group to move its Fan Campaign away from a straightforward celebrity portrait. Ms. Wang and Ms. de Witte serve as starting points for two new experiences that guests can book themselves.
From ritual to room service
Inspired by Ms. de Witte, “In-Room Dining: At Full Volume” adapts her late-night recovery routine into an after-hours menu for hotel guests.
The experience is available at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai; Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris; Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong; Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo; Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam; Mandarin Oriental, Milan and Mandarin Oriental, New York.

Designed for guests returning from performances, celebrations or travel late in the evening, the menu focuses on replenishment without requiring them to leave their rooms.
Ms. Wang’s routine informs “Intelligent Movement: At Full Volume,” a wellness treatment available across Mandarin Oriental’s global hotel portfolio.
The service focuses on the hands, wrists, forearms, shoulders and spine, areas particularly important to a concert pianist, and incorporates facial therapies intended to support circulation and recovery. The treatment is aimed at a broader audience seeking physical restoration after travel, exercise or other demanding schedules.
The campaign began rolling out globally across digital channels, social media and Mandarin Oriental properties on Aug. 4.
This specific chapter arrives as the group operates 46 hotels, 15 residences and 39 branded homes across 29 countries and territories.
“This campaign beautifully reflects our belief that true luxury is found in time, care and personal connection,” said Mandarin Oriental’s Mr. Kleitman, in a statement.
