Michael Jordan’s Rarely Seen Air Jordan 4 Linen Is Coming Back to Its Original Form
The style was first released in 2006.
Typically, when Nike Inc.’s Jordan Brand reissues a specific sneaker style, the brand will make the shoe available in its original size run. However, that wasn’t the case for the obscure women’s exclusive Air Jordan 4 Retro Linen, which was originally released in 2006 and reissued in 2017, but topped out at grade school sizing in its most recent release.
Jordan Brand will apparently right this wrong in 2027 with a more true-to-original women’s release of the Air Jordan 4 Retro Linen. According to @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, the 2006 style will return as a women’s exclusive next June.

This will mark the third time the Linen look has been reissued, and only the second in its original women’s size run. With a full colorway of White/Boarder Blue/Light Sand, the summer-appropriate style uses a white leather base that’s broken up by Light Sand tan hits throughout its more technical components. Boarder Blue is used subtly on the sneaker’s tongue, heel and outsole branding, but the Linen style is an otherwise neutral look that’s always gone somewhat under the radar.
Further separating the upcoming Linen reissue from previous releases is its refined shape. Introduced by the brand on 2023’s limited-edition Air Jordan 4 SB Pine Green and later with a wider rollout on 2024’s Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred Reimagined, the updated silhouette has been largely praised by purists for resembling the look of the original 1989 Air Jordan 4.
More than two decades after its debut, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Linen will return in women’s sizing, although it’s yet to be confirmed if this will include extended sizes. The sneaker will be released on June 5 for a retail price of $220 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers. The style code for the new release is HV0823-142.
