The change in leadership is designed to advance the company's "Grow Brand Love" strategy launched by CEO J.K. Symancyk in March 2025.
Senior Editor, Retail
At Signet Jewelers, Jamie Cygielman has been appointed president of Zales and Banter, and Pam Cloud has been named president of Blue Nile.
The two brand leadership appointments are designed to advance the company’s “Grow Brand Love” strategy centered on differentiating the four core brands in the Signet portfolio — Kay, Zales, Jared and Blue Nile — and bring greater style and design-led items to the assortments; pump up bridal jewelry, and strive for greater growth overall.
Cygielman will join Signet on Aug. 24 and be based in Dallas. Cloud started at Blue Nile on Monday, and is based in New York City. Signet is based in Akron, Ohio, but has offices in Dallas and elsewhere.

“Grow Brand Love is about creating distinctive brands with clear value propositions and stronger connections to the customers they serve,” explained J.K. Symancyk, chief executive officer of Signet Jewelers, in a statement. Symancyk launched the strategy in March 2025.
“Jamie and Pam are accomplished leaders who understand how to unlock the potential of iconic brands through consumer insight, innovation and disciplined execution,” the CEO said in the statement. “Their appointments bring important new capabilities to Signet as we position Zales and Banter for their next phase of growth and accelerate Blue Nile’s transformation,” which is evolving into a luxury brand and the most upscale in the portfolio, anchored in natural diamonds.
For the first quarter of this year, Signet reported sales of $1.6 billion on a same-store sales increase of 1.8 percent. For all of 2025, Signet generated sales of $6.81 billion on a same-store sales increase of 1.3 percent.
Cygielman, a more than 30-year veteran of consumer brands, most recently served as global head of dolls at Mattel and general manager and president of American Girl, where she played an instrumental role in revitalizing some of the company’s well-known brands. At American Girl, “Cygielman established a new strategic vision and operational road map that restored sustainable top-line and operating profit growth while strengthening the brand’s relationship with consumers,” Signet’s statement indicated. “She later expanded her leadership to Barbie and Mattel’s global dolls portfolio, sharpening brand positioning, evolving the product portfolio and amplifying consumer relevance.”
Cygielman will report to Symancyk, and work on growing Zales and Banter in size and appeal, and further differentiating the brands.
“Both Zales and Banter have such a rich legacy and personal connection with their customers,” said Cygielman in her statement. “For more than a century, Zales has been part of countless celebrations and milestones, while Banter has built a strong following by helping customers express their individuality and style.”
Cloud brings more than 30 years of luxury retail experience to Blue Nile, including more than 25 years at Tiffany & Co., where she was senior vice president and chief merchandising officer and a member of the executive committee. She is credited with helping to grow Tiffany’s business, and overseeing the launch of several successful collections, including those for Tiffany T, Tiffany Keys and the annual Blue Book high jewelry collection.
Cloud will report to Joan Hilson, Signet’s chief operating and financial officer, “to lead Blue Nile’s next phase of growth and transformation, advancing its elevated natural diamond-leaning luxury positioning and overseeing its strategy across every customer touchpoint,” the company stated.
Said Cloud: “Blue Nile transformed the way people shop for fine jewelry, and I see tremendous opportunity to build on that legacy by creating an even more elevated, personalized luxury experience.”
